Kathryn J. Collier

Kate Collier is vice president of audit services for Sempra.

In this role, she oversees the internal audit function for Sempra, including the Financial Leadership Program and audit oversight of Sempra’s operating companies.

Previously, Collier was chief strategy and origination officer for Sempra LNG, where she oversaw the long-term strategy of Sempra’s LNG business and business origination teams, as well as led the accounting, financial modeling, planning, procurement, and innovation and controls organization.

Prior to that, she served as chief financial officer and chief administrative officer for Sempra North American Infrastructure. Collier also previously served as vice president and treasurer for Sempra.

Collier has led many key strategic initiatives on behalf of Sempra, including the equity carve-out of IEnova, the $7.4-billion project financing of Cameron LNG and most recently the $9.45-billion acquisition and financing of Energy Future Holdings Corp., the 80% owner of Oncor Electric Delivery Company LLC.

Prior to joining Sempra in 2012, Collier had a successful 17-year career at Bank of America Merrill Lynch, where she held several executive positions within global corporate and investment banking, most recently leading commercial banking teams in Southern California with a focus on mid-cap sized companies.

Collier serves on the board of directors of Regulus Therapeutics Inc. and is the chair of its audit committee. She also serves on the International Advisory Board for UCSD’s School of Global Policy and Strategy.

She holds a bachelor’s degree in accounting from Valparaiso University.
